Drawn Out Dad on the shelf

I thought all you Drawn Out Dad fans would like to see this.

Proof that the Drawn Out Dad comic exists, and that it's currently on the shelf at a comic book store.

Yep, that's me along with my first son Peter. I think Pete was more interested in his lollypop then that his Dad has a comic for sale. :)

Not bad for $2.00 Australian, hey?

There's the comic right there alongside some excellent Aussie comics.
You can source these out for yourself at All Star Comics, and also Classic Comics. Both stores are in Melbourne and are lots of fun to visit.

Just enough shot of Drawn Out Dad himself. :)

These photos were taken by the Drawn Out Grand-Dad, my Dad Wally.
Thanks Dad!

Feel my wrath.

At the time I drew this one up I'd just finished reading the movie novel for Se7en, and then I watched the film on DVD.

The book was a lot better.

Anyone who has either read the book or watched the movie will get this "joke."

At the time I completed this strip I thought it was funny.....

Blah blah blah

Haha, god this is so true. :)

Tough call

Feels like it's been a while since I posted a Drawn Out Dad for you guys so here goes.

Hope you're enjoying them, and to everyone so far who purchased the comic? You're all very cool and have my utmost thanks and appreciation.

Drawn Out Dad: The Comic!

Yep, that's right. Drawn Out Dad is now a 20-page comic!

With 40 comic strips of Jeff, Evelyn, and the boy it's already selling beyond my wildest dreams.

Sure I would've been happy with at least one sale but still for only $2 what can I expect?

Yep, that's right, it's selling for only $2.00

Currently Drawn Out Dad is selling at opposite ends of Melbourne's CBD at the following stores

All Star Comics

Level 1/410 Lonsdale Street

Melbourne VIC 3000

Ph: 03 9642 0071

and

Classic Comics

Shop 7/50 Bourke Street

Melbourne VIC 3000

Ph: 03 9663 7210

If you're wanting a copy for yourself I highly recommend you give either of these stores a call, or find and "like" them on Facebook.

Both stores are very cool and I cannot thank them enough for the support they have provided.

If enough copies of the comic sell and the interest is there I may just bring out Drawn Out Dad: The Comic - Volume 2!

Finally

Don't think of this as Jeff yelling at his kid. More like quietly telling him off. :)

Bring Your Kid To Work Day

Always hated it when people would bring their kids to work.

It was just an excuse to hold off on doing any actual work, and also to get attention from co-workers about their snot-nosed little shits.

So I thought I'd do a Drawn Out Dad about it. :)

Staff Morale

The amount of times people bring their kids to work... Grrrr. So I thought this was particularly funny.

What do you think though?

All yours

This was a personal favourite when I wrote it up, and has set the humour for upcoming Drawn Out Dad comic strips.

Sit tight!

Give the baby his bottle.

Ah, an oldie but a goodie.

And so true!

Well, it's happened to me once or twice at least.

All to myself.

Yes, yet another lovey-dovey Drawn Out Dad. I wanted to give the guy a well-rounded sensibility.

Ah!

Okay, not hilarious. But each comic can't be about Jeff hating on his kid....

Wah!

If I had a dollar for every time this happened. lol

I kid, I kid.

When's it going to end?

Social commentary on lazy-ass mother's who can't be bothered raising their children? Sure, why not?

Football vs Dancing

Thankfully my wife's interest in Dancing With The Stars has wanned. :)

TV Reality

I thought this was true about reality TV. These days though, some nights it's hard to find anything of value to watch.

Now I just want to escape TV in general!

No more

This didn't happen to me. For some reason I have about 6 months worth of sick leave at work...

Strange. Anyhow, I thought this was funny.

What do you think? Please comment below.

First thing

Yo Jeff!

This is a universal feeling sometimes, when you're at work, right?
When I wrote this up it sure was. I was wreaked that day.
Just couldn't keep my eyes open.
And with this I welcome you to the Drawn Out Dad, Jeff.

Welcome!

Welcome to the official blog site for the comic strip, Drawn Out Dad!
Drawn Out Dad was created about 2 years ago, by me, one evening when I was completely and utterly exhausted from work and family life. In a sleep-deprived stupor I somehow thought a comic strip based on a sleep-deprived Dad would be funny.
Not only did the first strip get good reviews, but subsequent strips grew and grew in popularity. I was in shock!
Wanting to bring my comic strip to a broader audience, and with a timely suggestion from a good friend of mine from All Star Comics http://ascmelbourne.blogspot.com/ I have now created the Drawn Out Dad blog site.
Over the coming weeks and months I will post up the comic strip for you all to enjoy. I have quite a few currently completed and as always, I am working on more.
I hope you enjoy the comic strip, and as always I welcome all comments and feedback.
